An early withdrawal immediately reduces your pension capital, may reduce your future benefits and is subject to separate taxation. A pledge leaves the savings in your pension fund but uses them as security for the financing. The banking-based 3rd pillar is primarily focused on savings and investments. The insurance-based 3rd pillar can, depending on the solution chosen, combine capital accumulation with cover in the event of death or loss of earning capacity, whilst providing a structured framework for planning for retirement.
