1. Purpose of this document
In accordance with the provisions of the Federal Act on the Supervision of Insurance Undertakings (ISA), VYDA SA informs its clients of the following matters as part of the duty to provide information applicable to non-tied insurance intermediaries.
The purpose of this document is to set out the intermediary's identity, its regulatory status, its advisers, its responsibilities, any conflicts of interest, the terms of remuneration and the principles applicable to data protection.
2. The non-tied insurance intermediary (Art. 40 ISA)
VYDA SA is registered in the Federal Financial Market Supervisory Authority's (FINMA) register of non-tied insurance intermediaries.

VYDA SA maintains a relationship of loyalty with its clients (policyholders) and acts in their best interests. VYDA SA is not tied to any single insurance company and is not subject to any sales quotas.
3. Advisers

The advisers possess the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out their duties and are subject to the initial and continuing training requirements laid down in the Insurance Supervision Act (ISA).
4. Liability (Art. 45 ISA)
VYDA SA assumes liability in the event of fault, negligence or incorrect information on the part of its advisers, in accordance with the applicable legal provisions.
5. Prevention of conflicts of interest (Art. 45a ISA)
VYDA SA takes the necessary organisational measures to prevent conflicts of interest that may arise in the course of its insurance intermediation activities.
If a conflict of interest cannot be avoided or if a disadvantage to the client cannot be ruled out, VYDA SA shall inform the client of this before the contract is concluded.
6. Insurance cover offered
VYDA SA may offer its clients insurance cover across all lines of business, depending on their circumstances, their needs and the products available on the market.
For qualifying life insurance policies, in particular life insurance policies involving a risk of loss in a savings scheme, VYDA SA provides the information required by the specific provisions of the Insurance Supervision Act (Articles 39a to 39k of the Insurance Supervision Act).
7. Remuneration (Art. 45b ISA)
VYDA SA may receive remuneration from insurance companies or other third parties in connection with its intermediary activities.
Where the mandate provides for the invoicing of fees, VYDA SA may nevertheless accept remuneration from insurance companies or third parties, subject to the conditions laid down in the applicable legal provisions.
The ACA (Association of Insurance Brokers) fee schedule may be used as a basis for estimating the remuneration likely to be received.
Upon request, VYDA SA shall inform the client of the amounts actually received.
8. Data protection
VYDA SA processes its clients' personal data exclusively in the course of its activities relating to the provision of advice, brokerage, management and monitoring of insurance contracts.
The data is accessible only to authorised staff or persons expressly authorised to do so.
Personal data may be passed on to insurance companies, partners or external experts where this is necessary for the analysis, conclusion, management or monitoring of contracts.
This data is processed in accordance with the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
The client is advised to keep a copy of the documents and information provided to VYDA SA. VYDA SA may request that its clients update their personal information to ensure that it is accurate, complete and relevant to the purposes for which it is processed.
