Profile · Cross-border workers

Make informed decisions with a clear understanding of both systems.

Whether you’re already a cross-border worker, are about to become one, or are considering moving to Switzerland, healthcare, taxation, retirement, pension provision and insurance are constantly changing. We coordinate decisions and procedures on both sides of the border.

Healthcare

CMU for cross-border workers or LAMal?

Compare my options

Are you starting or resuming work in Switzerland, or are you leaving Switzerland to settle in France whilst keeping your Swiss job? In principle, you have three months to exercise your right to choose between the French scheme and LAMal. If no choice is made within this period, you may be automatically enrolled in the Swiss system.

Making the right choice depends on more than just the premium amount. It must take into account your place of residence, the canton where you work, your income, your existing cover, your healthcare habits and your family situation. VYDA helps you clarify your options before making any decision.

Cross-border health insurance

Tailored supplementary health insurance.

Review my cover

Whether you are covered by the CMU for cross-border workers or the LAMal scheme, basic cover can sometimes leave you with significant out-of-pocket costs, particularly for hospitalisation, dental or optical care. In most cases, a suitable supplementary policy allows you to better manage these expenses.

VYDA helps you review your current cover, your healthcare needs and your family situation to avoid duplication, gaps or unsuitable cover.

Retirement & pension provision

Planning ahead for the long term.

Plan my Franco-Swiss retirement

LPP capital, AVS, the third pillar in Switzerland, PER in France, future tax implications and place of residence in retirement: planning for these issues helps you avoid costly decisions.

We analyse your full situation, including your vested rights, your LPP assets, any vested benefits accounts you may have, and the likely duration of your career in Switzerland. If some of your assets are scattered across different accounts, we’ll help you track them down and explore the options for consolidation or transfer, depending on your circumstances.

Taxation

France or Switzerland?

Assess my tax situation

The country and the tax arrangements depend, in particular, on the canton where you work, your place of residence and the Franco-Swiss tax rules applicable to your situation.

Depending on your circumstances, certain steps may be necessary following the deduction of tax at source, such as applying for a correction or a subsequent ordinary tax assessment. We analyse the relevant factors and guide you through the appropriate process.
